Design Master allows users to insert another circuit in a location where a load already exists. In other words, Design Master is able to move existing loads to another circuit. See the example screen shots below. Before Insertion
After Insertion
To insert a circuit, go to DM Electrical Select the correct panel you wish to work on by using the pull-down list by the One Line Device field. Select the circuit you wish to move down and insert another circuit in front of, then press Insert Circuit. Note that a circuit will be inserted before the circuit that is selected. In other words, if you wanted to insert a circuit in front of circuit 1, you would select circuit 1 and press Insert Circuit. If you wanted to insert a circuit in front of circuit 3 (between circuit 1 and 3), you would select circuit 3 and press Insert Circuit, and so on. (See above screen shots.) When you press Insert Circuit, you will see the following Design Master message reminding you to update the circuit labels once you have finished inserting circuits.
Press OK, and Design Master will insert a circuit and return you to the Circuiting dialog box. You may continue inserting circuits, but remember that once you have finished inserting circuits you will need to run the Update All Circuit Labels on Drawing command (also from the Circuiting dialog box) in order to update the existing drawing to reflect the new circuit labels. |
