Recalculate Voltage Drop

Top  Previous  Next

When Design Master calculates the voltage drop, it takes into account the path of the loops. Therefore, if the loops are redrawn manually, you may wish to recalculate the voltage drop. You may do this without having to rerun the homerun command by using the Recalculate Voltage Drop command.

To recalculate the voltage drop, go to

DM ElectricalarrowCircuiting and HomerunsarrowRecalculate Voltage Drop

Design Master will ask you to select a device on the circuit for which you wish to calculate the voltage drop. The device you choose does not have to be the homerun device, it can be any device on the circuit. Once you have selected a device, Design Master will calculate the voltage drop, including any loops that were inserted or redrawn manually. A Design Master Electrical dialog box with the voltage drop will pop up.

recalc_voltage_drop

Press OK, and the voltage drop will also appear at the command line.

Voltage Drop:

   L2-3: 0.85%  (225')

Command:

The voltage drop will always appear at the command line after home running devices.
