One Line Devices

Top  Next

Design Master includes the ability to perform numerous calculations, including voltage drop and fault current calculations. However, before you can run those calculations, Design Master needs to know the lengths of the feeders between all the one line devices and the branch circuits. While you may input these distances manually, Design Master can also calculate them for you based on the location of each one line device on the plan view.

Design Master allows the user to create an entire one line diagram. The first step is to create the devices that will be included in the one line diagram. There are eleven different types of one line devices:

Panels
Switchboards
Transformers
Wireways
Bus Gutters and Bus Ducts
Enclosed Breakers and Disconnects
Uninterrupted Power Supplies
Motor Control Centers
Generators
Transfer Switches
Low Voltage Panels

The second step is to insert the needed plan view blocks on the drawing.

You may also edit existing one line devices.
