Switchboards

Switchboards are nearly identical to standard panels as far as their creation goes.  There are, however, three notable differences which will be pointed out below. Otherwise, consult the panels section for how to create switchboards.

To create a switchboard, go to

DM ElectricalarrowOne Line DevicesarrowSwitchboards

A Switchboard dialog box will appear. To actually create a new switchboard, press the New button at the bottom of the dialog box. Another Switchboard dialog box will appear after Design Master asks you to enter the callout for the new switchboard you are creating.

The three differences between the Panel and Switchboard dialog box are listed here.

Number of Positions

Instead of poles, switchboards have positions. You can set this to any number you like

Circuit Offset [removed]

Since they don’t have poles, there is no need for a command to offset the starting number for poles. This command is removed from the Switchboard dialog box.

Plan View Block

There is only one option available when creating the plan view block, and that is Custom Rectangle. You must define the dimensions for each switchboard individually.
