Creating Light Fixtures |

First, to create a 2x4 fluorescent fixture for the interior of the building, in drawing E1 go to DM Electrical The Light Fixture Project Schedule dialog box will open as shown below.
Press New and the New dialog box will open as shown below.
In the New dialog box, type "B" in the box labeled New Light Fixture Callout and press OK. Set the light fixture specifications for B to match those shown below. (The specifications that you will need to change are highlighted in yellow in the screen shot below. They will not be highlighted on your dialog box.) To change the block, press Select Block, choose the appropriate block from the Select LF Block dialog box, and press OK. This will change the Description and Block Name as well. Once the specifications match, press Save.
You have now created an indoor light fixture that can be inserted in the drawing. However, before inserting light fixtures on the drawing, create a single pole-mounted fixture for the exterior of the building. Press New and the New dialog box will open as shown below.
In the New dialog box, type "S" in the box labeled New Light Fixture Callout and press OK. Set the light fixture specifications for S to match those shown below. (The specifications that you will need to change are highlighted in yellow in the screen shot below. They will not be highlighted on your dialog box.) Use the Select Block button to change the Description and Block Name fields. Once the specifications match, press Save. Now you are ready to insert light fixtures on the drawing. |
