Revit MEP Comparison: Duct Insulation and Lining

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

(Part of our ongoing series comparing features in Revit MEP and Design Master to make it clear why our software is better.)

One new feature included in Revit MEP 2012 is ductwork insulation and lining. When modeling ductwork in 3D for interferences and collisions, the size of these components are important. It is no good to determine that the inside clear area of a ductwork fits, but that the necessary acoustical lining or exterior insulation interferes with other building elements.

This feature was included in Design Master HVAC in our first release, way back in 2001. All we do is MEP design software, so we focus on making sure important features like this don’t take years to be implemented in our software.
