Feeder Length Calculation

The feeder length between one-line devices can either be directly input by the user or calculated based upon the location of the one-line devices on the drawing.

When the length is calculated, it is based upon the distance using right angles between the two devices. The difference in elevation is added to the length, including the difference in elevation based upon the alignment point area elevation or floor elevation. An additional length is added to account for the wire needed to make the connection to the one-line device. The user can specify this value using the Extra length on feeders option. See the Options->Panels and One-Line Devices section for more information on how to set this value.
