Floor Information Dialog Box

Building Definition--Floor Information dialog box

See the Common Schedule Dialog Box Features section for more information about how this dialog box works. This section describes the Rename, Find, Previous, Next, Copy, Save and Delete buttons.

Floor Elevation: The elevation of the floor above grade. For example, the first floor would be set to zero, and the second floor might be set to 12'. This is used to calculate vertical distances in wire lengths. See the Distance Input Format section for more information on specifying this elevation.

Default Ceiling Height: The default height of the ceiling for rooms in this floor. The ceiling height is used to determine the room cavity ratio and mounting height for indoor photometrics. Individual rooms can override this value. See the Distance Input Format section for more information on specifying this elevation.

Default Wall Height: The height of the walls for this floor. This is specific to each floor, so the wall height of the first floor would be 10' and the wall height of the second floor would also be 10' (rather than being 20' because of adding the height of the second floor walls to the first floor walls). See the Distance Input Format section for more information on specifying this elevation.
