Match Note Values and Locations

The Match Note Values and Locations command is used to copy the location and values of notes from one device to another. To use it, first arrange the notes on one device so they are correct. You want the notes to be in good locations, readable, and orderly. You can use the Move Note and Rotate Note commands to help with this. Then use the Match Note Values and Locations command to match these note settings to other devices.

This command will change the values of the notes on the other devices to match the first device you select. To change the note locations but leave the values as they are, use the Match Note Locations command.

To match note values and locations to other devices, go to

Ribbon: DM Electrical->Devices-> dm_elec-device-matchDevice Match Note Values and Locations

Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical->Modify Devices->Match Note Values and Locations

You will be prompted to specify the device with the note you want to replicate.

Select device to use as source:

You will then be prompted to specify the devices to which the note will be added in the same relative location.

Select objects:

After you select the devices to match, the notes will be arranged to match the first device you selected.
