Trace Architect's Low Voltage Devices

The Trace Architect's Low Voltage Devices command is used to trace a low voltage device layout from another drawing that was done by someone else.

Before using this command, create low voltage devices using the Low Voltage Project Schedule command.

This command should be run from the drawing that you are copying the low voltage device layout from. The drawing should not be one where you are doing your electrical design.

To trace the low voltage devices, go to

DM Electrical->Low Voltage Devices->Trace Architect's Low Voltage Devices

The Select Low Voltage Device Group dialog box will appear.

Select_low_voltage_device_group

Select your desired low voltage device group and press OK.

The Background Mapper dialog box will appear.

low_voltage_background_mapper

See the Trace Architect's Light Fixtures section for more information on how this command works. The Background Mapper dialog box works the same in these two commands.

There is also a detailed tutorial with step-by-step instructions for the use of the light fixture version of this command that can be found in the separate tutorial files.
