Equipment Lists

This tutorial teaches you how to insert an equipment list on the drawing, update it, and modify it.

Open drawing E-0.1.

Insert the Equipment List

  1. Run the Insert Equipment List command. The Edit Equipment Group Settings dialog box will open.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→  Insert Equipment List
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Equipment→Insert Equipment List

  2. Press the button.

  3. Follow the prompts at the command line to insert the equipment list on the drawing.

Update the Equipment List

  1. Run the Query or Edit Multiple Equipment command. The Select Equipment to Query or Edit Multiple dialog box will open.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→  Query or Edit Multiple Equipment
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Equipment→Query or Edit Multiple Equipment

  2. Select RTU-3.

  3. Press the button. The Edit Equipment dialog box will open.

  4. Set Load 1 Connected (kVA) to 40.

  5. Press the button to save the changes.

  6. Run the Insert Equipment List command. The Edit Equipment Group Settings dialog box will open.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→  Insert Equipment List
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Equipment→Insert Equipment List

  7. Press the button.

The equipment list will be updated in its current location on the drawing.

Modify the Appearance of the Equipment List

  1. Run the Insert Equipment List command. The Edit Equipment Group Settings dialog box will open.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→  Insert Equipment List
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Equipment→Insert Equipment List

  2. Press the button. The Equipment Schedule (Group General) Label Display and Order dialog box will open.

    note

    You may need to resize the dialog box so you can see the whole ☐ Display column.

  3. In the Symbol row, set the Label to GRAPHIC.

  4. In the Schedule Note 1 row, check the ☐ Display box.

  5. Press the button to save the changes to the label settings.

  6. Press the button.

The equipment list will be updated in its current location on the drawing.
