All devices in the database are tagged with the name of the drawing on which they are currently placed. It is possible for devices to exist in the database that are tagged as being on drawings that do not exist anymore. In this case, the Delete Extra Devices from Database command will remove them.
To delete extra devices from database, select:
DM Plumbing
UtilitiesDelete Extra Devices from Database
When this command is run, the following dialog will appear for each drawing that does not exist but contains devices in the database:
You are given the option to delete all of the devices in the database that are on the stated drawing (in this example dialog box, PLUMBINGDEMO2.DWG) that no longer exists by pressing Yes. Or you may delete all the devices in the database that are on any drawing that no longer exists by pressing Yes to All. The No and No to All buttons work in a similar fashion.
