Disconnected Receptacles Error and Fix

Monday, January 4th, 2010

In Design Master Electrical 7.2.7, released November 30, 2009, we introduced an error that caused receptacles to become uncircuited. We discovered and fixed this error in Design Master Electrical 7.2.8 on December 21, 2009.

We have since discovered that this error was more common that we originally thought. In Design Master Electrical 7.2.9, released today, we added a fix to automatically reconnect the disconnected receptacles to their circuits.

After installing this patch, any receptacles that were accidentally uncircuited will be reconnected.

Any receptacles that you connected to a new circuit will be left on the new circuit. They will not be moved back to the old circuit.

Any receptacles that you manually uncircuited will be recircuited. These you will need to manually uncircuit again.
