Making Changes to the Feeder Wires

Monday, October 11th, 2010

Feeder wires are first inserted with a very simple shape.

To adjust the location of the feeder wire, select it and use the grips to move the points. You can use the grips on the corners of the feeder or in the middle to adjust its location.

To move the OCP block to a new location, use the grip near the OCP that is on the feeder line. When you are moving it, it will slide along the wire to a new location.

To flip the OCP block to a new location, use the grip near the OCP that is offset from the feeder line. When you move the grip to the other side of the feeder, the OCP will flip.

To add more segments to the wire, use the “DM Electrical->One-Line Diagram->Add Segment to Middle of Wire” or “DM Electrical->One-Line Diagram->Add Segment to End of Wire” commands.

When you use the “Add Segment to Middle of Wire” command, it will prompt you to select a point in the middle of the wire.

It will add a break in the wire, but the appearance will not change. You can then use grips to move one side of the wire to a new location.

When you use the “Add Segment to End of Wire” command, it will prompt you to select a point at the end of the wire.

A new segment will be inserted.
