Design Master Electrical 8.3 includes new panel schedule blocks to support the new feeder and service load calculations. This page describes how to use these new panel schedule blocks with your existing customization files.
If You Use Standard DM Electrical Panel Schedules
If you use the standard panel schedules, you need to replace all of your current blocks with the new ones.
- Download this zip file containing all the new panel schedule blocks.
- Open AutoCAD.
- Go to DM Electrical->Help->Installation Settings.
- Press the Open button for your customization folder.
- Extract the zip file you downloaded to your customization folder. Overwrite the existing files.
New projects will use the new panel schedules automatically.
Current projects might end up with a mix of old and new blocks. If they do, erase all of your panel schedules. Use the PURGE command on your drawing. Insert the panel schedules again. They should now look correct.
If You Use Custom Panel Schedules
If you use custom panel schedules, you will need to customize the new panel schedule blocks.
Insert panel schedules as you need them in your projects. When you insert a schedule that uses a new block, it will appear obviously different. Modify the block when this happens to match your panel schedule.
Use the DM Electrical->Customization->Open Block from Drawing command to open the block you need to modify.
We changed the default text height in the blocks from 0.0875 to 0.1. If you use our original text size, scale the block by 0.875 to match the text heights.
Make other changes as necessary to match your panel schedule.
Erase the panel schedule with the block you modified. Use the PURGE command on your drawing. Insert the panel schedules again. They should now match your modified block.
We do not recommend modifying all of the new blocks, because there are a lot and you will not use them all.
