Changing the Number of Poles on a Circuit

To change the number of poles on a given circuit, open the Circuiting dialog box. First select the circuit you wish to change. If you are combining a single pole circuit, select the first circuit in the set. Then press the Change # of Poles button.

The Change Number of Poles dialog box will appear.

Select the number of poles you desire from the dialog box, then press OK.

The selected circuit will have combined or separated into the specified number of poles.

The new circuit will default to 20 amps and be described as a SPACE.

You cannot change the poles on a circuit if any devices are already on that circuit. If you try to change the poles when devices are circuited, you will see the following error message.

You must uncircuit all the devices that are on that circuit in order to change the numbers of poles. To do this, you may either uncircuit each device individually, first using the Find Circuit button to determine which devices are connected to the particular circuit, or you may uncircuit the entire panel
