Circuiting Single-Circuit Devices

Top  Previous  Next

(From the circuiting dialog box, you will need to select a panel and a circuit before Design Master will take you to the drawing and ask you to select the device or devices you wish to circuit.  See Circuiting Devices for how to accomplish this.)

Now, select the device, or devices, you wish to circuit by clicking each device or drawing a window around the devices.

Press the space bar and Design Master will circuit the selected devices to the breaker in the database, and will place circuit callouts next to each device. The load on the circuit will be displayed at the command line.

At this point you have three options:

Continue to select more devices to add to this circuit. Design Master will add their loads to the circuit load totals.
Press the space bar to tab forward to the next circuit and then continue circuiting devices to the new circuit. This option allows you to locate all the needed devices, select a panel, and then very quickly circuit all the devices on the entire drawing without having to return to the Circuiting dialog box.
Press the space bar twice and Design Master will take you back to the Circuiting dialog box. From here you may press Exit and finish the command, or perform one of the many other functions available from the Circuiting dialog box.

This command does not automatically draw the homeruns and loops.  See Draw Homerun and Loops for the steps needed to have Design Master draw homeruns and loops for circuited devices.
