Design Master allows the user to compress a panel to eliminate spaces between circuited breakers. See the example screen shots below. Before Compression
After Compression
There are two key steps to successfully compressing a panel. The first is the compression step itself, and the second is updating all of the homeruns and circuit tags. Both commands are found in the middle left of the Circuiting dialog box. DM Electrical
Select the panel you wish to compress using the pull-down list next to the One Line Device field and press the Compress Circuits button. You will see the following Design Master message, asking if this function is what you want to do. If you press No, Design Master will not compress the circuits and will return you to the Circuiting dialog box. If you press Yes, Design Master will shift all circuits towards the top of the panel schedule. After the panel has been compressed, press Update All Circuit Labels on Drawing. Design Master will update the drawing to reflect the new circuit numbers. All circuits that had homeruns drawn will be updated to reflect their new circuit numbers with this command. The homeruns will remain in place, but all the circuit numbers will be updated. Press Exit to return to the drawing. The circuit labels will only be updated on the drawing in which the command was performed. If there are devices on multiple drawings circuited to a the same panel, you must open each drawing individually and repeat the Update All Circuit Labels on Drawing command from the Circuiting dialog box. |
