Blocks must be properly configured before they can be used in Design Master Electrical. There are two different types of blocks that you can create in Design Master:
When creating either plan view and one line blocks, there are three steps.
This section will deal with the first two steps. Details for the third step can be found under the various blocks sections below. Create the Block There are two ways that you can create a block. It can either be created from a set of entities in the current drawing using the from Entities commands or as an entire drawing using the from This Drawing commands. The result of both commands is a drawing which contains only the block. This block must be placed in one of the folders listed in your AutoCAD support path. The default location is the Electrical Customization folder which Design Master creates under the main Design Master Software directory. The following links will take you to pages explaining each step of the block creation process. While the block creation process is not overly complicated, Design Master support staff understand the need to move your firm past the customization phase quickly so you can begin using the software on live projects. Support staff are available to assist in the block creation process and we welcome your questions. Create Block from Entities Create Block from This Drawing Create the Slide Add the Block to the List
