Setting the Circuit Amp Limit |
Top Previous Next |
|
Design Master will aid in your circuiting efforts by alerting you when a circuit has reached a certain level of amps. The program will not stop you from exceeding the specified limit, but it will let you know when you have gone above it. The circuit amp limit is a user-defined setting, and may be changed as many times during the design process as necessary. To set the circuit amp limit, open the Design Master Electrical Options dialog box. DM Electrical Expand the Miscellaneous section of the Design Master Electrical Options dialog box.
Select the Circuit Amp Limit line, and then type in the desired limit in the value column. Press OK. This feature may be turned on and off as many times as you want during the course of a design. This change will not affect devices already circuited. When circuiting additional devices, Design Master will display a warning when the amps for a circuit exceed the set limit.
Press OK to continue circuiting. Note: Setting this limit will not actually stop you from exceeding the circuit amp limit, it will only warn you that you have exceeded the limit. You may continue adding loads to the circuit past the limit. |
