Setting the Upsize Wire Distance

The default distance at which Design Master automatically upsizes a #12 wire to a #10 wire is 75 feet. To change this distance, go to

DM ElectricalCustomizationOptionsEdit Project List

Expand the Wire Sizing section of the Design Master Electrical Options dialog box.

Select the Upsize #12 to #10 wire length (ft) line, and set the value to the desired distance. Design Master will assume the number indicating distance is entered in feet.

Press OK to return to the drawing.

All new homeruns will be created using the new upsizing wire length and all voltage drop calculations from this point on will be computed using the new upsizing wire length. However, you will need to rerun any completed voltage drop calculations and redraw homeruns to reflect these new wire sizes.
