Setting the Wire Sizing Option

Top  Previous  Next

Design Master allows you to create custom wire sizing tables so that your feeders are sized according to your preferences and needs. Once you have created a custom wire sizing table, you need to select that table in order for Design Master to use the table when computing wire and feeder sizes. To select a wire sizing table other than the default table, go to

DM ElectricalarrowCustomizationarrowOptionsarrowEdit Project List

Expand the Wire Sizing section of the Design Master Electrical Options dialog box.

Customization_DM_Elec_Options

Select the Wire Sizing Option line, and use the pull-down menu in the right column under Value to select the desired wire sizing table.

If you have not created any additional wire sizing tables, Design Master will only show the default wire sizing option, as shown above.

Press OK to return to the drawing.

All new homeruns will be created using the new wire sizing table and all voltage drop calculations from this point on will be computed using the new wire sizing table. However, you will need to rerun any completed voltage drop calculations and redraw homeruns to reflect these new wire sizes.
