The table below describes the various fields seen in the Light Fixture Blocks dialog box.

Field

Sets

Description

This is the description of the block seen when the Select LF Block dialog box is displayed when selecting a block for a light fixture. Double-click on the row to type in your desired description.

Block Name

This is the name of the file containing the block. Double-click on the row and select Browse to browse for the file you wish to use for any given block.

To Scale

This check box controls whether the block is to scale or not. Blocks that are to scale (checked) will be inserted with a scale factor of one. Blocks that are not to scale will be inserted with a scale factor equal to dimscale.

Can Rotate

This check box controls whether the block can be rotated or not. Blocks that can be rotated (checked) will give you the option to specify the rotation angle when they are inserted. The AutoCAD rotate command will function normally on them. Blocks that cannot be rotated will not prompt you for a rotation angle when they are inserted. They are inserted with a rotation angle of 0. When rotated in AutoCAD, the blocks will move, but their rotation angle will be reset to 0 automatically.

To create a new block, first you must have created a new block or have a block that has been unassigned. Press the New button, which will take you to the bottom of the table and add a new block. You may type in the desired description, set the block name, and set whether the block should be inserted to scale and can be rotated. When you have the block set, you may press OK to save the new block and close the Light Fixture Blocks dialog box or press New to create another new block.

To delete a block, make sure the row of the block you wish to delete is highlighted. Then press the Delete button. Design Master will delete the selected block from the list.

It is possible to change the ordering of items in the list. To do so, click and drag the grey block at the far left of the row. This allows you to reposition the selected row.
