Excel Add-In

The Excel add-in allows you to insert values selected from the database in your workbooks. It can be used to help automate cost estimates, service calculations, and more. It is composed of three different parts.

Utility Functions

The utility functions assist you in working with your Excel spreadsheet. They are found in the top and bottom sections of the DM Electrical pulldown menu in Excel.

Menu Commands

The menu commands are the basic interface for inserting values in to your workbook. You will use a dialog to specify the criteria for the value and it will be inserted automatically. These are found in the middle two sections of the DM Electrical pulldown menu in Excel.

Functions

The functions are stored in the Excel cells and are what actually calculate the desired values. They menu commands insert them for you, but you can create and edit them by hand to create more powerful workbook.
