Insert Breaker Quantity

To insert a quantity of one line devices (in this case, breakers) into your workbook use the Insert   Breaker Quantity command.  DM Electrical  arrowOne Line Devices arrow Insert Breaker Quantity. The Insert  Breaker Quantity dialog box will open.

The table below explains what each field in the Insert Breaker Quantity dialog box represents and defines.

This is a criteria for which breakers are included in the count.  You may restrict the count to breakers on a specific one line device. When this is set to <All>, all breakers or taps on any type of device will be included in the count.

1, 2, or 3 Pole and Amps

A row will be inserted into your worksheet for each pair of amps and poles selected. To select multiple amps, use the Ctrl or Shift keys.

New Cells

There are two choices regarding how to insert new cells. When you select Overwrite Existing Cells, the values will be inserted over top of the existing cells. The first value will be placed in the active cell with additional values placed below. When you select Insert New Rows, new rows will be inserted for each value. The current row will be moved down to make room for the new values. The cells in the current column will contain the selected values. The other cells in the new rows will contain the same values as the current row.

There are three buttons regarding which values to insert into the worksheet.

Insert Label

When you press this button, the label will be inserted on the worksheet, starting at the active cell. The label is inserted as an actual value in the cells, not as a formula. Once it has been inserted, you can freely edit and modify it as needed.

Insert Quantity

When you press this button, the function for this dialog will be inserted on the worksheet with the selected criteria included as arguments to the function.

Insert Both

When you press this button, the label and the function for the dialog will be inserted on the worksheet. The labels will be placed in the column of the active cell. The functions will be placed in the column to the right of the active cell.
