Insert Equipment and Disconnect Quantity

To insert a quantity of plan view devices (in this case, equipment) into your workbook use the Insert Equipment Quantity command.  DM Electrical arrow Insert Equipment Quantity. The Insert Equipment Quantity dialog box will open.

The table below explains what each field in the Insert Equipment Quantity dialog box represents and defines.

Field

Sets

Disconnect

This is used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining equipment quantity. If no disconnect types are selected, all pieces of equipment that match other selected criteria are counted. 

Volts

This is used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining equipment quantity. If no disconnect types are selected, all pieces of equipment that match other selected criteria are counted.  

Layer System

The selected layer system will be used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining equipment quantity. If <All> is selected, the layer system of devices will be ignored during counting.

Amps Minimum (Greater Than)

This field, in conjunction with the Amps Maximum, form a range of amps that is used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining equipment quantity. All equipment with amps greater than the minimum and equal to or less than the maximum will be included in the count.

Amps Maximum (Less Than or Equal To)

This field, in conjunction with the Amps Minimum, form a range of amps that is used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining equipment quantity. All equipment with amps greater than the minimum and equal to or less than the maximum will be included in the count. When Amps Maximum is set to 0, no maximum value will be used.

There are three buttons regarding which values to insert into the worksheet.

Insert Label

When you press this button, the label will be inserted on the worksheet, starting at the active cell. The label is inserted as an actual value in the cells, not as a formula. Once it has been inserted, you can freely edit and modify it as needed.

Insert Quantity

When you press this button, the function for this dialog will be inserted on the worksheet with the selected criteria included as arguments to the function.

Insert Both

When you press this button, the label and the function for the dialog will be inserted on the worksheet. The labels will be placed in the column of the active cell. The functions will be placed in the column to the right of the active cell.
