To insert a quantity of plan view devices (in this case, light fixtures) into your workbook use the Insert Light Fixture Quantity command. DM Electrical 
Light Fixtures and Groups Insert Light Fixture Quantity. The Insert Light Fixture Quantity dialog box will open.
The table below explains what each field in the Insert Light Fixture Quantity dialog box represents and defines.

Lists the light fixture callouts you may choose to display. |
Floors |
This is used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining light fixture quantity. If no floors are selected, all devices on all floors that match other selected criteria are counted. If <Not on a Floor> is selected, the program will count all devices that are not inserted on a floor. You may also select to count devices on multiple floors if desired. |
Rooms |
This is used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining light fixture quantity. If no rooms are selected, all devices on all rooms that match other selected criteria are counted. If <Not on a Room> is selected, the program will count all devices that are not inserted on a room. You may also select to count devices in multiple rooms if desired. |
New Cells |
There are two choices regarding how to insert new cells. When you select Overwrite Existing Cells, the values will be inserted over top of the existing cells. The first value will be placed in the active cell with additional values placed below. When you select Insert New Rows, new rows will be inserted for each value. The current row will be moved down to make room for the new values. The cells in the current column will contain the selected values. The other cells in the new rows will contain the same values as the current row. |
Layer System |
The selected layer system will be used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining light fixture quantity. If <All> is selected, the layer system of devices will be ignored during counting. |
Drawing |
The selected drawing will be used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining light fixture quantity. If <All> is selected, the placement of devices on a particular drawing will be ignored during counting (i.e. all devices in the project will be counted.) |
Lighting Group |
The selected lighting group will be used as a criteria for which devices to count when determining light fixture quantity. If <All> is selected, the grouping of devices will be ignored during counting. If <Not in a Group> is selected, only devices that are not assigned to a lighting group will be counted. |
Include Exempt Fixtures |
Checking this option will allow all exempt fixtures to be included in the quantity determination. If it is not checked, exempt fixtures will not be included. |
There are three buttons regarding which values to insert into the worksheet.
Insert Callout
When you press this button, the callout will be inserted on the worksheet, starting at the active cell. The label is inserted as an actual value in the cells, not as a formula. Once it has been inserted, you can freely edit and modify it as needed.
Insert Quantity
When you press this button, the function for this dialog will be inserted on the worksheet with the selected criteria included as arguments to the function.
Insert Both
When you press this button, the label and the function for the dialog will be inserted on the worksheet. The callouts will be placed in the column of the active cell. The functions will be placed in the column to the right of the active cell.
