Insert Panel and Other One Line Device Load

To insert loads from one line devices in an electrical drawing into an Excel worksheet, go to

DM Electrical arrow One Line Devices arrow Insert Panel and Other One Line Device Load

The Insert One Line Device Load dialog box will open.

The table below explains what each field in the Insert One Line Device Load dialog box represents and defines.

Field

Sets

One Line Device Type

This is the criteria for which devices are listed in the One Line Device list.

One Line Device

The load that is inserted will be taken from the device selected in this list.

Load Type

Each load type that is selected in this list will be inserted into the worksheet in its own individual row. You may select multiple load types using the Ctrl or Shift keys. The <All> selection will insert the total load for the device.

New Cells

There are two choices regarding how to insert new cells. When you select Overwrite Existing Cells, the values will be inserted over top of the existing cells. The first value will be placed in the active cell with additional values placed below. When you select Insert New Rows, new rows will be inserted for each value. The current row will be moved down to make room for the new values. The cells in the current column will contain the selected values. The other cells in the new rows will contain the same values as the current row.

Value

Where you can indicate whether the connected or calculated load is inserted into the worksheet.

There are three buttons regarding which values to insert into the worksheet.

excel_insert_load_label

Insert Label

When you press this button, the label will be inserted on the worksheet, starting at the active cell. The label is inserted as an actual value in the cells, not as a formula. Once it has been inserted, you can freely edit and modify it as needed.

Insert Load

When you press this button, the function for this dialog will be inserted on the worksheet with the selected criteria included as arguments to the function.

Insert Both

When you press this button, the label and the function for the dialog will be inserted on the worksheet. The labels will be placed in the column of the active cell. The functions will be placed in the column to the right of the active cell.
