Insert Alignment Point

DM Electrical arrow Insert Alignment Point

Click to place the alignment point that will be used to coordinate the current drawing with other drawings. Select the same location as in the other drawings so that building plans will line up accurately. Once you have indicated the location, Design Master will ask you to select the rotation angle. This will indicate the north direction of the drawing. Once you have clicked to indicate the rotation angle, a Design Master dialog box will appear, indicating that the program is updating the database. If you realize while the program is updating the database that you have indicated an incorrect alignment point, pressing Cancel will not actually work. When the command is finished, you may use the standard AutoCAD undo, move, or rerun the Design Master Insert Alignment Point command to reinsert the alignment point into the proper location. The alignment point should be set in the same place on every drawing in the project folder, but the north direction may be different in each drawing depending on the orientation of the architectural background.
