Adding and Removing Devices from Junction Boxes

To connect devices to a junction box, go to

DM ElectricalJunction BoxesAdd Device to Junction Box

Select the junction box, and then select all the devices you wish to associate with the junction box.

Press the space bar to complete the command.

The devices and the junction box are now associated and Design Master will draw a loop between them. If you are not satisfied with the automatic loops, use the Loop Devices Manually command.

A devices association with a junction box and the loops drawn to indicate this do not mean the devices are circuited.

To remove a device from a junction box, go to

DM ElectricalJunction BoxesRemove Device from Junction Box

Select the device, or devices, you wish to remove.

Press the space bar to complete the command.

The device will no longer be associated with the junction box, and the loop between the two will be removed.
