Junction Boxes via Equipment Insertion

One way that a junction box may be created with a load is to create a piece of equipment with a junction box disconnect symbol.

Create a piece of equipment as you normally would; however, set the Disconnect to Junction Box. This will cause the equipment to appear as a junction box on the drawing.

The junction box as a piece of equipment functions exactly as any other piece of equipment with regards to insertion, modification, and circuiting. See Equipment for more information about handling pieces of equipment.

You may wish to include text in the Panel Description field to more accurately describe the equipment as a junction box. You may make this change either when inserting the junction box as a piece of equipment, or you may modify this Panel Description using the same process you would use to edit a piece of equipment.
