When you add a light to a lighting group inside of Design Master, the program will place a lighting group designation next to the light fixture. The default lighting group tag will look like this
If you wish to customize the light fixture group block you must either redefine the existing block, or create a new block and tell the software to read the new block instead of the original. There are two blocks, the first is for lighting groups 1-9, and the second is for lighting groups 10 and up.
To edit the existing graphic, open the dm_elec-ltgGroup1.dwg file. Make the appropriate changes, then save and close the drawing.
Repeat this process with the dm_elec-ltgGroup10.dwg file.
When you add light fixtures to a lighting group, the block should now reflect your changes.
To reference a different block entirely, go to
DM Electrical
CustomizationOptionsEdit Project List
Expand the Light Fixture Options section of the Design Master Electrical Options dialog box.
Browse to the new block. Press OK.
