Add Switch to Switch Group |
Top Previous Next |
|
DM Electrical Select a switch that is in the existing switch group, then select the switch you want to add to that group. The command is complete. Homeruns and loops will not be drawn automatically to the newly attached devices. If the switch you want to move has devices (receptacles, light fixtures, equipment, or other switches) associated with it, Design Master will ask you for more information. You will see the Switch is Already Grouped dialog box.
If you select Add this switch but not other switches or devices to the group, the program will only move the specific switch to the new group. If the existing group is already circuited, the added switch will join that circuit. If the existing grouping does not yet have a circuit and the added switch does, Design Master will uncircuit the new switch that is being added to the existing group. If you select Add this switch and all other connected switches and devices to the group, the program will move all devices and switches in the same group as the selected switch to the new existing group. If the existing group is circuited, the devices and switches will join the existing circuit. If the existing grouping does not yet have a circuit and the added switch and devices do, Design Master will uncircuit all the devices and switches that are being added to the existing group. If you attempt to use the Query Device command to change the group of a switch, Design Master will change every device and switch in the chosen switch group to the group typed in using the Query Device Group field. |
