Takeoffs

Top  Previous  Next

Design Master Electrical is capable of generating a quantity takeoff directly from the device counts and wire measurements stored in the project database.  The takeoff is generated as an HTML file and will automatically be opened in your web browser. It can also be opened in Excel.

This feature is not intended to be a complete estimating tool by itself. It is intended to provide the starting point for an estimate that can then be finished using a complete electrical estimating program.

There are three places a takeoff may be performed.  A takeoff may be performed on selected areas in a drawing, on the entire one line diagram for the project, or on equipment that is stored only in the database and not on a drawing file.

Takeoffs may also be performed at any time during the design process and can be quickly redone as a design evolves and changes.
