This tutorial teaches you how to create a transformer. You will create a 480V-208V transformer and a utility transformer.
Transformers can be created in any drawing in your project.
Open drawing E-0.1.
Create Transformer T1
1. | Run the Transformers command. The Transformer dialog box will open. |
Ribbon: DM Electrical->Distribution Equipment-> Transformers
Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical->Distribution Equipment->Transformers
2. | Press the New button. The New dialog box will open. |
3. | Set New Transformer Callout to T1. |
4. | Press the OK button to create the transformer. Once it is created you can modify the settings for the transformer. |
5. | Make the following changes to transformer T1: |
b. | Set Primary Volts to 480Y/277V 3P 4W. |
6. | Press the Save button to save your changes. |
Create Transformer UTIL
1. | Press New. The New dialog box will open. |
2. | Set New Transformer Callout to UTIL. |
3. | Press the OK button to create the transformer. |
4. | Make the following changes to transformer UTIL: |
b. | Set Primary Volts to Utility. |
c. | Set Secondary Volts to 480Y/277V 3P 4W. |
5. | Press the Save button to save your changes. |
6. | Press the Exit button to close the dialog box and return to the AutoCAD command line. |
