Drawing Homeruns and Loops

To perform the first step in drawing homeruns and loops on circuited devices, make sure you are in drawing E1 and go to

DM Electrical arrow Circuiting and Homeruns arrow Draw Homerun and Loops

Design Master Electrical will take you to the drawing and prompt you to select the device from which to draw the homerun. Go to Conference Room 102 and select the lower left-hand light fixture in the room.

Design Master Electrical will then prompt you to select objects on additional circuits to combine on this homerun. Press ENTER to specify that this homerun only has a single circuit on it. Design Master Electrical will insert loops between the devices.

Specify the location of the homerun. Your drawing should match the one shown below.

In both drawing E1 and E2, use the Draw Homerun and Loops command to draw homeruns and loops for every circuit on the drawing except for the parking lot light fixtures. When you have finished, your drawings should match the ones shown below.

To draw a combined homerun for the parking lot light fixtures, run the Draw Homerun and Loops command. Select an S light fixture on one circuit from which to draw the homerun. Next, you would typically press ENTER. However, to draw a combined homerun, instead select an S light fixture on a different circuit and then press ENTER. Your drawing should match the ones shown below.

Now you are ready to update the panel schedules.
