Solid Text and Entities Change to Outlines When Plotting with Hidden Lines

When the HIDE command is run in AutoCAD, filled entities are turned in to outlines.  This includes certain fonts, polylines, and solid regions.  This behavior is a function of AutoCAD that they do not plan to change in the future.  If you need to include solid entites in your drawings, we recommend that you work around this issue by plotting from paper space instead of model space.

Everything that should be solid needs to be drawn in the layout tab.  Typically, this will include the titleblock, but also might include revision clouds.

Solid entities that absolutely need to be drawn in the model tab will need to be cross-hatched.  If you zoom in on the default arrowhead included with Design Master HVAC, you will see that it is cross-hatched, insteadof a solid.  You can also see this with vertical fittings that are shown with a roof penetration.
