Segment Insert

Allows you to add segments to a circuit on the riser diagram.

You will be prompted to specify an existing circuit segment from which the new segment will be drawn.

Selecting a Middle Circuit Segment

If the selected circuit segment has connected segments on both endpoints, you will then be prompted for the starting location of the new segment.

Specify starting point of circuit segment:

You will then be prompted to specify points to which circuit segments will be drawn. The point from which each segment will be drawn will be marked on the drafting view as a guide.

Specify next point of circuit:

The circuit will be drawn to the specified point in a straight line from the previous point. Continue specifying points, or press ESC to finish the command.

Selecting an End Circuit Segment

If the selected circuit segment has an endpoint with no connecting segment, the new segment will be drawn from that endpoint. The endpoint will be marked as a guide. You will then be prompted to specify points to which circuit segments will be drawn. The point from which each segment will be drawn will be marked on the drafting view as a guide.

Specify next point of circuit:

The circuit will be drawn to the specified point in a straight line from the previous point. Continue specifying points, or press ESC to finish the command.
