Converting a Single-User Install to a Multiple-User Install

If your company has been operating on a single-user install of FireBIM and you want to convert to a multiple-user/network install, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Copy the contents of your customization folder to the network. This will save any changes you have made to the customization. For more information about finding your customization folder, visit FireBIM Customization Folder Location.

  2. For each computer that will run the software, run the User Options command.

  3. Set the Customization Folder field to the network location of the customization folder, then press the  button to save your changes.

You do not need to change anything about how FireBIM itself is installed or where other files are stored.

In addition to the files in the customization folder, FireBIM also provides model and annotation tag families you can use, which you may want to copy to the company network as well. For more information about those families and where they are located, visit What Is Included in the Installer.
