Configuring Device Graphics

Configure the riser diagram graphics that represent devices in the Revit model.

Start in the FIRST FLOOR FP plan view.

Configure the Graphic for the Manual Pull Station​

  1. Run the FireBIM Design→  Device Edit command.

  2. Select the manual pull station near the southwest corner on the plan view. The Device Edit dialog box will open with the device selected.

  3. Press the button. The Riser Diagram Graphics Settings dialog box will open.

  4. Set Riser Group ▾ to Manual Fire Alarm Box.

  5. Set Riser Graphic ▾ to Pull Station.

  6. Press the button to close the Riser Diagram Graphics Settings dialog box, and again to close the Device Edit dialog box.

Configure Graphics for Smoke Detectors​

  1. Right-click a smoke detector on the plan view and select Select All Instances > In Entire Project from the context menu.

  2. Run the FireBIM Design→  Device Edit command. The Device Edit dialog box will open with all of the smoke detectors selected.

  3. Press the button. The Riser Diagram Graphics Settings dialog box will open.

  4. Set Riser Group ▾ to Smoke Detector.

  5. Set Riser Graphic ▾ to Photoelectric.

  6. Press the button to close the Riser Diagram Graphics Settings dialog box, and again to close the Device Edit dialog box.
