Modifying Devices

Modify device properties from the riser diagram and plan view.

Start in the RISER DIAGRAM drafting view.

Modify a Strobe from the Riser Diagram​

  1. Select a strobe on the drafting view, such as the first strobe on circuit 1.

  2. Run the FireBIM Riser→  Edit command. The Device Edit dialog box will open with the strobe selected.

  3. Set Family Type ▾ to 30cd.

  4. Press the button to close the dialog box. The strobe label will update in place to show the change.

Find & Modify Modules on the Plan View​

  1. Run the FireBIM Riser→  Highlight Device command.

  2. On circuit 6, select the rightmost module. The FIRST FLOOR FP plan view will open with the module highlighted.

  3. Select both modules in the mechanical room and run the FireBIM Design→  Device Edit command. The Device Edit dialog box will open with both modules selected.

  4. Press the button. The Riser Diagram Graphics Settings dialog box will open.

  5. Set Riser Group ▾ to Addressable Module.

  6. Set Riser Graphic ▾ to Input/Output.

  7. Press the button to close the Riser Diagram Graphics Settings dialog box, and again to close the Device Edit dialog box.

  8. Return to the RISER DIAGRAM drafting view. The modules will be using the new graphics.
