Modifying Light Fixtures

This tutorial teaches you how to modify light fixtures on your drawing.

Open drawing E-1.1.

Move a Light Fixture​

Use the AutoCAD MOVE command to move a light fixture on the drawing. You can move the light fixture like any other entity in AutoCAD.

Change a Single Light Fixture​

  1. Run the Query Device command.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→ Query Device icon Query Device
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Modify Devices→Query Device

  2. Select a light fixture on the drawing. The Query Light Fixture dialog box will open.

  3. Set Callout ☰ to A2.

  4. Press the button to close the dialog box.

The light fixture on the drawing will change from an A1 light fixture to an A2 light fixture.

Change Multiple Light Fixtures​

  1. Run the Edit Multiple Light Fixtures command.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→ Edit Multiple Light Fixtures icon Edit Multiple Light Fixtures
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Light Fixtures→Edit Multiple Light Fixtures

  2. Select two light fixtures on the drawing. The Edit Multiple Light Fixtures dialog box will open.

  3. Set Callout ☰ to A2.

  4. Press the button to close the dialog box.

The light fixtures on the drawing will change from A1 light fixtures to A2 light fixtures.
