Installing Design Master Electrical RT

This section describes how to install Design Master Electrical RT.

If you are a current user installing an update to the software, follow the Installing an Update instructions.

1. Download and run the latest Design Master Electrical RT installer.
   caution

   Close Revit before you run the installer.

2. After the installer has finished, open a project or family in Revit. You should see a DM Electrical ribbon and a DM One-Line ribbon.

The first time you run a command, you will be asked to install your license. You have two options:

• To begin a trial of the software, press the button. The Electrical RT License Key Request page will open in your web browser. Submit your email address to receive a 30-day license.
  tip

  If you are a current user but don't know your license ID and password, you can also press this button to have them emailed to you.

• Otherwise, enter your License ID and Activation Password in the fields provided and press the button.

Installing an Update

Download and run the latest Design Master Electrical RT installer.

caution

Close Revit before you run the installer.

Your existing customization will not be overwritten during the update.

Your license will remain the same. You do not need to install or update the license when you update the software.
