Installing ElectroBIM

Visit the System Requirements page to make sure you can use the software before installing.
If you are a current user installing an update to the software, follow the Updating ElectroBIM instructions.
- Download and run the latest ElectroBIM installer.
warning
Close Revit before you run the installer.
- After the installer has finished, open a project or family in Revit. You should see an ElectroBIM Design ribbon and an ElectroBIM Single-Line ribbon.
The first time you run the ElectroBIM installer, it will also download and install a cache of single-line diagram graphic families. This cache installation is optional; if you opt out, the cache will be generated as you use ElectroBIM in your projects. Visit the Updating Single-Line Graphic Family Definitions article in the knowledge base for more information.
Evaluation Mode
The first time you run a command, you will be asked to provide your email address to activate ElectroBIM in evaluation mode. In evaluation mode, banners will be displayed in some dialog boxes and (ElectroBIM Trial) will be appended to some shared parameter outputs, such as panel names on the single-line diagram and calculated fault and voltage drop values.
Evaluation mode is not time-limited and is fully featured.
Activating Your License
To fully activate ElectroBIM and remove watermarks, you must provide a valid license ID and password. You can enter your license information by pressing the button on an evaluation mode banner or running the Update License command.
If you do not know your license ID and password, visit the License Key Request page to have them emailed to you.
