Modifying Branch Circuits

How to work with branch circuits.

Start in the Panel Schedule for panel E.

View Values Set with Instance Edit in Circuit Edit​

Run the ElectroBIM Design→  Circuit Edit command. The Circuit Edit dialog box will open with panel E active.

The OCP and Wire Callout fields will reflect the values set in the Modifying a Branch Circuit Family section.

Modify Circuits with Circuit Edit​

  1. Select panel A from the list.
    If the list is not visible, press the button.

  2. Using the circuit table in the middle of the dialog box, select circuit 2, then make the following changes:

    1. In the circuit table, select the Description and add "Existing " to the beginning of the value.
      In the Circuit Details section, the Description and Description Prefix values will update to reflect the change.
      You can also use the Description Prefix field to make this change.
    2. In the Circuit Details section, set OCP Trip ▾ to 30.
  3. Select circuit 8 using the circuit table, then make the following changes:

    1. In the circuit table, set Description to REC.
      In the Circuit Details section, the Description and Description Replacement values will update to reflect the change.
      You can also use the Description Replacement field to make this change.
    2. In the Circuit Details section, set Circuit Length ▾ to Fixed and enter 160 in the field provided.
      The Voltage Drop value will update to a new value.
      The Conductor ▾ value will update to Upsized (30, #10) to indicate it has been automatically upsized to reduce voltage drop.
      The Wire Callout value will update to a new wire size.
  4. Press the button to close the dialog box.
