Electrical Feature of the Month: Photometric Schedules

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Photometric schedules are a recent addition to the point-by-point lighting calculation feature. There are a number of different code requirements around the country that specify outdoor lighting level requirements. The photometric schedule allows you to display the values required to demonstrate code compliance.

Design Master Electrical can display up to three values and three ratios:

  • Average Footcandles
  • Maximum Footcandles
  • Minimum Footcandles
  • Minimum to Maximum Footcandle Ratio
  • Maximum to Minimum Footcandle Ratio
  • Average to Minimum Footcandle Ratio

Using the customization commands, you can modify which of these values are shown on your drawing. Showing only the values that are required makes the drawing cleaner and easier to read for your plan reviewer.
