FireBIM Release Notes

Beta released March 3, 2026.

The following is the list of features in FireBIM 1.0.0.

• Riser Diagrams

• Improved functionality for the Circuit Insert command. You can now insert multiple circuits at once, and when inserting newer circuits, they will align automatically to prior circuits inserted for the same panel.
• Updated the Description field for fire alarm devices in the Family Edit and Device Edit commands. They will now mirror the Revit Description parameter. This parameter has been populated for generic families.
• Other bug fixes and improvements from internal testing.

• Added symbol images to generic model families. These images, assigned to the Revit Type Image parameter, can be used to create a symbol legend.
• Added symbol legend fields to the Family Edit command, such as the Revit Description, Manufacturer, and Model parameters, in addition to FireBIM-specific fields like the multiline text FBIM_Note.
• Other bug fixes and improvements from user feedback and internal testing.

• Added Panel Connect command to allow circuiting of fire alarm panels from the riser diagram.
• Added Circuit Remove command to provide an easy way to erase entire circuits from the riser diagram.
• Added an Update Schedules checkbox to the Update Part of Project command.
• Added options to display voltage drop as a value, a percentage, or both.
• Changed the Tutorial command to the Help command, which will open the FireBIM Command Reference.
• Added circuit prefixes and suffixes for device addresses. These settings can be configured in Circuit Types.
• Circuits are now grouped and numbered based upon the circuit types on each panel. Circuit labels can be configured in Circuit Types.
• Other bug fixes and improvements from internal testing.

• Updated the installer to add the FireBIM Content folder to Revit "Places".
