⚠ Beta Software

This is a beta version of ElectroBIM. If you have a project going out soon, we recommend waiting to install this version until after your deadline has passed.

Run Help → About in ElectroBIM to check your currently installed version.

Family Edit in the Project

The Family Edit command is now available for use in projects, allowing you to view and make changes to ElectroBIM settings on the family definitions in your project without leaving the Revit model.

Freezing Revit 2021 Support, Changing Support for Old Versions
With this release, we are freezing support and updates for Revit 2021. You can still use ElectroBIM on Revit 2021, but it will no longer receive bug fixes or feature updates. We are also changing how we handle old Revit versions for this and future releases.

Prior to this release, ElectroBIM installers contained all of the necessary files and data for every Revit version we’ve ever supported, with older versions frozen at specific ElectroBIM releases.

Going forward, the normal ElectroBIM installer will only install for the Revit versions we actively support. To use ElectroBIM on older versions of Revit, you will need to download a separate installer for that Revit version. Legacy ElectroBIM installers are available on our Downloads page.

ElectroBIM 2.10

Panel Schedules

Use the new Insert Panel Schedule command to insert distribution equipment schedules on drafting views, based upon the panel schedule templates in your Revit project. ElectroBIM panel schedules can be updated using the Update Panel Schedule and Calculate Whole/Part of Project commands.

As part of this feature update, Revit’s Schedule Header, Footer, and Circuit Notes parameters can now be set in the Panel Edit and Circuit Edit commands.

Why should I use ElectroBIM panel schedules?

  • Panel schedules for distribution equipment types that standard Revit doesn’t allow (i.e., transformers and equipment switches).
  • Circuit descriptions that wrap rather than cut off.
  • Batch creation and arraying of panel schedules in alphabetical or distribution order.

Other Improvements

  • Circuit descriptions for spaces and spares, as well as spare OCP trip sizes, can now be modified in the Circuit Edit command.
  • When Circuit description method is set to Use Revit circuit descriptions, the Revit Load Name parameter can now be set in the Circuit Edit dialog box.
  • Customize how parallel runs are displayed in wire callouts using new Text before/after parallel runs settings in the Project Options command.
  • Set default titles for your fault, voltage drop, and other calculation schedules using new Schedule name settings in the Project Options command.
  • The distribution equipment tree and list in the Panel Edit, Circuit Edit, and Insert Panel Schedule commands now filter Electrical Equipment with no downstream connections to the bottom, reducing clutter.
  • Conductors that are automatically upsized due to voltage drop now display both the upsize and the sizing option.
  • When printing arc-flash stickers, you can now choose whether ElectroBIM recalculates the project beforehand.
  • Fixed a bug that occurred when automatically sizing conductors with a non-default sizing option.
