Return Fan Load

In the HVAC load calculations, we do not have a place to specify the return fan motor load. It is assumed that the load for this fan is accounted for in the size of the unit by the manufacturer.

Room Loads vs. System Loads

The room load only accounts for air supplied to the room, while the system load accounts for the total load of the air handler, including ventilation and plenum loads.

Export Load Calculations to Excel

Missing Roof Load

If your calculated roof load is off, use the Edit Rooms command to make sure the roof load isn’t being categorized as a plenum return.

Two figures are provided for supply air requirements in the HVAC load calculation report: one for the current supply, and one for the required supply.
