Return Fan Load

In the HVAC load calculations, we do not have a place to specify the return fan motor load. It is assumed that the load for this fan is accounted for in the size of the unit by the manufacturer.

No Outside Air in Building Load Calculations

If your building load calculations don’t show any outside air, ventilation load, or airflow, you must modify your project information or insert supply diffusers with airflow on your drawing.

Room Loads vs. System Loads

The room load only accounts for air supplied to the room, while the system load accounts for the total load of the air handler, including ventilation and plenum loads.

Missing Roof Load

If your calculated roof load looks wrong, use the Edit Room command to make sure the roof load isn’t being categorized as a plenum return.

High Ventilation Loads in a Zone

If a zone requires 100% outside air, you may need to increase the required supply air for rooms in the zone.

People Diversity in Load Calculations

The people diversity for a zone can be set using the People Diversity section of the Zones dialog box.
