The beta version of Design Master Electrical RT 2.0 is now available. The major new features in this release are one-line riser diagrams in Revit and time-current curves for breakers.
We are actively looking for feedback on the new features we have added. There are a few ways you can help:
Current Electrical for Revit customers are welcome to install and use the new software. It is production-ready and currently being used by other customers on real projects.
Reply to this email if you are interested in beta testing.
The next online training on Thursday, October 8, at 1:30pm Eastern, will cover the new features. Attendees will be able to ask questions and offer feedback during the training, which will help us refine the features before the final release.
Whether or not you are beta testing the new features, we encourage you to attend.
At the moment, the difference between our software and SKM or Easy Power, in terms of breaker curves, is the size of the database.
As we work on manually adding breakers, you will likely discover that a breaker curve you need is not available in the software. When that happens, let us know what breaker you are using. We will prioritize getting it loaded and available.
You can also let us know now what breakers you are likely to use in the future.
It's time for our annual survey of MEP engineers and designers to learn about their experiences using building information modeling (BIM). We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill out our survey. The results, including a comparison with surveys from previous years, will be discussed in a future newsletter.
(Editor's Note: The survey has ended.)
